Mixed Quarter
Stonewall Farm is offering you yet another way to have convenient access to our grass fed meat products. You are now able to order a Mixed Quarter of Beef. What does this mean?
A lot of people don’t have the freezer space to store a whole or even half a cow. A quarter of a cow is easier to reserve space for, requiring an average of 2.5 cubic feet. But when you buy a quarter of a cow, you have to choose either the front quarter which gives you mostly steaks, which can be expensive an unpractical, or the rear quarter, which leaves you with a whole lot of ground beef. Stonewall Farm has come up with a solution that gives you the best of both worlds! We’re able to give you a Mixed Quarter which–you guessed it–combines cuts from the rear and hind sections of the cow. A typical Mixed Quarter will look like this:
- 35 lbs. of Steaks (Filet, Ribeye, T-Bone, Sirloin, Strip, Flank, Skirt, Minute)
- 35 lbs. of Roasts with Ribs (Chuck, Arm, Sirloin Tip, Brisket, Short Ribs)
- 35 lbs. of Ground Beef (some stew meat included)
Cost
The price per pound for a Mixed Quarter of beef is $5.98. The average Quarter is 100-110 lb., putting the total cost right around $598.
