But wait…isn’t pork bad for you-high in calories, fat, and cholesterol? Not according to the studies. They say that many cuts of grass fed pork are actually leaner and lower in cholesterol than some cuts of chicken.

Because our pigs run around on the pasture all day they are very lean, very little fat in the meat. The meat also takes on a more pink color due to their natural diet. And the taste is exquisite! Once you try our pork you’ll wish you had more…and you’ll never go back to confinement raised pork again.
People want to know where their food comes from and they want to know that it is safe and healthy to eat. That is one reason that we offer you a local source of great tasting pork that is free from hormones, antibiotics, or animal by-products. Our pork is processed locally at your choice of USDA and State inspected family butchers.
Whole Hog, $1.75/lb. live weight plus processing costs…$100 deposit
Half Hog, $1.95/lb. live weight plus processing costs…$50 deposit
The hogs weight between 225-275 lbs and will yield between 140-160 lbs of freezer meat.
You will find the butchers a pleasure to work with as they walk you though all of the options of all the delicious cuts that are available to you. Butchering takes about a week for the fresh pork and about three weeks for the cured and smoked cuts that you may wish to request. Typical butchering costs are around $180 for a whole hog depending on how much cured and smoked cuts you request.
After the pig is dropped off, we will call you with the weight and you can send the remainder of the payment at that time. You will then contact the butcher to talk to them about how you want your pig processed. They will give you a date for picking up your fresh pasture raised pork and they will expect their payment at pick-up. You must pay Stonewall Farm before picking up your order.
Remember to take boxes or coolers to transport your frozen pork home and remember that your pork can be stored up to 12 months in a freezer at 0 degrees Fahrenheit (0 F).
