Interested in a whole or half or quarter cow? This is definately the way to save money and stock your freezer for a long time.
Our Black Angus cattle are raised on the pasture their whole lives. Grass-fed beef is known to be more nutritious than its feedlot counterparts. They are higher in Vitamin E, beta-carotene, omega-3 fatty acids, as well as conjugated linoleic acids, or CLAs. When cud-chewing animals are raised on grass, they stay healthy and will not need antibiotics. They are also raised at nature’s pace, and not given hormones. In the last several weeks of life, we offer our cattle a corn/flaxseed oil supplement while they are still on the pasture. This enhances both the flavor and nutritional content of the meat.
All our beef is locally processed at Dewig Meats. Upon slaughter, the beef is dry-aged for 2 weeks. This is the difference that makes an excellent meat even more flavorful. During this process, the beef’s natural enzymes break down and tenderize the meat, leaving a much more tender product.
Our Black Angus grass-fed beef is worth buying in bulk. When you taste the difference, we are sure you will agree.
The quarters and eighths are sold at a fixed rate, which includes processing fees:
Quarter Beef, $690 for 100 lbs of beef
Eighth Beef, $350 for 50 lbs of beef
